John I. Bipialaka (JIBS) Engineering Services Limited in developing our plan for interaction with communities within which the services are to be rendered, we shall take into consideration, identified root causes of community disturbances namely.
- Economic hardship resulting from depressed economy.
- Incitement of communities by their representatives.
- Urban-rural migration
These typical problems cause service demands to be made on the construction companies and their service contractors, in the following areas.
• Amenities such as good roads, water supply, electricity, contracts and employment.
• Supposedly inadequate or delayed payment of compensation for land acquisition and/or for desecrated sacred areas.
• Demands for royalty payments on work areas.
• Claims for damages resulting from construction activities.
Having known these and being an environmentally sensitive company John I. Bipialaka (JIBS) Engineering Services Limited plans to forestall most of these problems by involving the said communities in our operations.
